KANDHKOT:

The federal government should stop treating the Sindh government and the province's people as stepchildren, said Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Sunday, urging Prime Minister Imran Khan to treat all provinces equally.

He made these remarks while talking to the media during a visit to Kandhkot.

The CM said that no one would be able to divide Sindh, as he accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) of hatching a conspiracy against the Pakistan Peoples Party-led Sindh government.

"They [the PTI and GDA] should stop playing dirty politics at a time when most parts of Sindh are experiencing terrible floods," he added.

When asked about Federal Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed's recent remarks, he said, "I have no time to comment on a person who always beats around the bush."

The federal minister had claimed that opposition party leaders had met the chief of army staff.

Speaking about Covid-19 and the reopening of schools, he said all educational institutes would be bound to follow the pandemic-related standard operating procedures, adding that while all schools were to reopen on September 28, the threat of the spread of the coronavirus remained. DNA
