19 alleged drug-peddlers held

Police claimed to have arrested 19 drug peddlers from different parts of the district on Saturday. Police arrested eight drug traffickers and recovered 4.59 kilogrammes of hashish and 93 litres of liquor from their possession. Similarly, the police also arrested 11 suspects for possessing illegal weapon and recovered five pistols, three Kalashnikovs, two repeaters and a rifle from their possession during the same period. Further investigation was underway.
