Irfan Junejo celebrates 1 million subscribers with a thought-provoking message
Popular YouTuber Irfan Junejo has finally hit the 1 million subscriber mark on his main channel. Junejo started his YouTube journey three years back as one of the pioneers of vlogging in Pakistan. Taking a page out of internationally renowned vlogger Casey Neistate's book, Junejo merged a grounded persona with hard-hitting storytelling and crafty camera work, that not only earned him a massive fanbase but also inspired many to try their hand at vlogging.
In the past three years, Junejo has posted 237 vlogs on his main channel and an additional 63 videos on his secondary channel called Irfan Junejo 2.0. To celebrate 1 million subscribers, Junejo posted a video on his main channel where he hadn't posted content for the past seven months.
"It's not necessary, but if your subscribers reach a million, there is no harm in making a video either," Junejo says in the opening few seconds of the video. Additionally, the social media personality once again clarified to his fans that vlogging is still not a priority for him as he plugged in his second channel, that according to him is a hub for a variety of content pieces.
"With all due respect, vlogs won't be posted as far as the foreseeable future is concerned," he said. " As far as once in a lifetime occasions are concerned related to travel particularly, you can expect those kinds of vlogs in the future when the situation gets better. Normal vlogs about daily life and mundane things might come eventually but it's better if you don't expect them."
Adding on Junejo talked about how he doesn't want to be a vlogger anymore and is working on reinventing himself. The YouTuber noted that after months of introspection and talking to various individuals he has developed a sense of direction for both his channels, neither of which have vlogs as a priority.
At the same time, he let the fans know that while he has decided on what kind of videos he wants to post on his main channel, the necessary equipment he needs for it is stuck in the US and would come into his possession by November.
Among other things, Junejo discussed how the pandemic has shifted his mindset, particularly the mantra 'started from the bottom, and now we here' that he has promoted in most of his videos. Referencing instances of people desperate for money, which he saw both in real life and in videos, Junejo acknowledged the privilege he always held.
"Everything I've seen and experienced. For me to say that I started from the bottom is a lie. I did not started from the bottom at all," he said.
