Dialysis service to start at RIUKT soon: MNA
The Rawalpindi Institute of Urology and Kidney Transplant (RIUKT) will be made functional on priority, said MNA Sheikh Rashid Shafiq.
RIUKT is currently working as a dedicated hospital for coronavirus patients. At the height of the pandemic, there were 300 patients under treatment at the facility, whereas presently there were only 13 left in the quarantine ward.

The decision was made during the administration committee of the RIUKT comprising Rawalpindi Medical University VC Prof Muhammad Omar, RIUT MS Dr Khalid Mahmood Randhawa, Rawalpindi DC Anwarul Haq and MNA Shafiq.
Shafiq sharing the details of the meeting with The Express tribune said that the meeting observed that there are only 13 patients of coronavirus at RIUKT. If the number does not increase, these patients will be shifted to Red Crescent Hospital.
