An anti-terrorism court sentenced on Friday a man to 15 years of imprisonment after finding him guilty of pretending to be a police official and extorting money from citizens. The court also imposed a penalty of Rs300,000 on the convict, Waseemur Raza. Raza has been sentenced to three years in jail for defrauding citizens and another eight years for keeping an illegal weapon. The ATC announced the verdict at Karachi Central Jail. According to the prosecution, Raza was arrested by the Ferozabad police, who seized a fake police uniform and an illegal weapon from him.
