Alleged sexual offender arrested in Balochistan

Another co-accused remains at-large

QUETTA:

Police arrested an accused involved in the sexual abuse of a child in Balochistan’s Osta Muhammad. According to sources, the accused identified as Ehsan Jamali subjected a child to sexual abuse in the Qurban Colony area of Osta Muhammad.

“Medical report confirmed the child was subjected to sexual abuse”, the Station House Officer (SHO) Dawood Khan Khosa said. “Police reacted promptly and arrested the culprit involved. But another co-accused involved in the crime is still at large.”

He added that police were conducting raids to apprehend another accused in the incident. “We cannot share the identity and age of victim”, Khosa said.

The accused was produced before the court and police sought his remand. Family members of the victims had lodged a case against the accused Ehsan Jamali in Osta Muhammad police station after the incident. This incident has come a day after the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Quetta arrested a child pornographer. FIA seized two mobile phones and other data from the possession of the accused.
