Shehzad Roy, Faisal Qureshi to take on lead roles in 'Alif Noon' remake
In a first, Shehzad Roy is all set to act for the first time in a project close to his heart! The widely popular 1965 sitcom, Alif Noon, will be reprised as a feature film, the singer revealed in an Instagram post.
Roy, taking to social media, shared that him and actor, VJ Faisal Qureshi are joining hands for an exciting upcoming venture. Sharing a clip from the show, the Tera Mukhra crooner, penned, "Lots of issues triggered the song Laga Reh, Now this video explains why we. Faisal Qureshi and I, are making the movie Alif Noon."
In the clip, the lead actors of the show were talking about inflation and the current situation of the country. He went on to add, "I am so excited to act in it. This issue is still hot and relevant."
Alif Noon starred Kamaal Ahmed Rizvi and Rafi Khawar as Allan and Nanha respectively. The upcoming film will reportedly have a different plot but the essence will remain the same. The film will be written and helmed by Qureshi.
