West DIG assigned interim charge

West DIG Asim Qaimkhani has been assigned the additional charge of acting admin DIG in the wake of admin DIG Ameen Yousufzai testing positive for Covid-19. The former will serve on the additional post until the latter recuperates from the infection, states a notification issued by Karachi police chief Ghulam Nabi Memon. According to a Sindh Police spokesperson, 3,383 policemen have tested positive for Covid-19 so far. Among them, 18 have succumbed to the infection, 50 are under treatment and 3,315 have recovered.
