‘Robber’ killed, in alleged encounter

A suspected robber was killed during an alleged encounter near Indus Plaza on the Super Highway, it emerged on Monday. According to Sohrab Goth Police, a group of three robbers was about to flee the area after looting citizens when a patrol team reached the spot. Two of them were injured after an encounter and were later detained, police said, adding that the third robber fled the scene. The detained suspects, identified as Ismail, 25, and Feroze, 24, were shifted Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in critical condition. Among them, Feroze succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. According to police, weapons, motorcycle and stolen items were seized from the arrested men’s possession.
