Three more people have died due to Covid-19 in Sindh, while 296 more have tested positive, said Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Monday.
In a statement issued on the day, the CM said that following these developments, the province’s cumulative Covid-19 tally had climbed to 134, 243 and the death toll to 2,463.
Of the newly reported cases, he said, 143 belonged to Karachi, 25 to Badin, fie to Hyderabad, four to Matiari, three to Shikarpur, two each to Sanghar, Shaheed Benazirabad and Umerkot and one each to Dadu, Jacobabad, Larkana and Sukkur.
Besides, the CM said, 87 patients had recovered from Covid-19 overnight, raising the number of recovered patients to 128,494.
This leaves 3,286 active cases, he added. The CM said that among those under treatment, 930 were in home isolation, 351 were hospitalised and five were quarantined in isolation centres. The condition of 175 patients is critical and 20 of them are on ventilator, he added.
