Suspects held, weapons seized

As many as 134 motorcycles, two other vehicles and 328 persons were detained in different police stations

Dolphin Squad and Police Response Unit (PRU) of Lahore police in their crackdown during last week seized at least 26 pistols, 19 magazines, 84 bullets and thousands of rupees from suspected criminals. Dolphins Squad SP Rashid Hadayat, while giving details of the weekly performance of both the wings, stated that crime fighters of Dolphins Squad and PRU also seized 31 bottles of liquor and heroin from arrested criminals. The Dolphin and PRU wings showed immediate response to 457 calls received on helpline 15. They helped as many as 125 people on different roads of the city. Dolphin Squad and PRU during patrolling in the city checked 3,129 vehicles, more than 153,000 motorcycles and 157,880 persons. As many as 134 motorcycles, two other vehicles and 328 persons were detained in different police stations due to incomplete documents whereas disciplinary action was taken against responsible persons.
