The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (Comstech) has announced five annual scholarships for Turkish graduate and postgraduate scholars in the field of chemical and biological sciences at the International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, through The World Academy of Science and Comstech fellowship programmes. This was announced by Comstech coordinator-general and ICCBS director Dr M Iqbal Choudhary during a meeting with Turkish consul general Tolga Uçak at the Turkish consulate in Karachi. The selected students will be placed in various sections of ICCBS, based on their fields of interest, for six to 12 months. The ICCBS will cover their bench fee, accommodation and research expenses. Dr Choudhary also briefed Ucak about various projects and activities underway at the ICCBS as well as Comstech.
