Three friends drown near Hub

Three young men drowned while bathing in a stream near Hub on Sunday.

Rescue workers retrieved the bodies after an hour-long search operation, first shifting the bodies to Hub Civil Hospital and then to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

The deceased, identified as Shehryar, 22, Shujaat, 23, and Zubair, 25, were visiting the site for a picnic and drowned due to the strong flow of water. They were reportedly residents of Lyari’s Khadda Market and visited the stream often.
