Tehsildars told to gear up revenue collection

Tehsil revenue officers or tehsildars, have been directed to give special attention on land management and revenue recovery. Deputy Commissioner Anwarul Haq presiding over a meeting of revenue officers said they should have a thorough knowledge of professional matters and relevant laws. He directed that all assistant commissioners to hold regular meetings with tehsildars to supervise the performance and governance in revenue department and revenue record should be checked periodically.
