Woman ‘robs’ elderly husband of land, jewellery

A woman along with her relatives allegedly seized more than 58 kanals of land from her husband, an elderly man, in Raiwind City police limits on Wednesday.

The details available with The Express Tribune reavealed that the woman also looted jewellery worth Rs4 million as well as dowry, animals and a tractor from the house.

The 70-year-old man identified as Din Mohammad, a resident of Mohalla Masjid Shah, Mouza Jia Baga, appealed to Punjab IGP for legal action against the accused.

Reportedly, he had lost a son after which he became the guardian of his five grandsons and one granddaughter.

According to the request given by the complainant to Punjab IG, his land is located at Mouza Jia Baga.

He stated that his wife, Rahmani Bibi, had prepared a bogus power of attorney and had seized the land by conspiring with the Patwari of the individual constituency of my land. The complainant added that his wife had got the registry of in the name of Mohammad Asif, son of Noor Mohammad and Mohammad Faryad, son of Hanif using their fake thumbprint.
