Man, mother electrocuted to death

A man and his mother were electrocuted to death at a house in Allahwala Town in Wednesday. According to police, 20-year-old Zeeshan, had been working on a water pumping motor while the electricity supply to the locality was suspended. He received severe electric shocks and died on the spot when the power supply was suddenly restored, they said, adding that his mother, Rehana, 40, also died while making a futile attempt to save him. The bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities. Police are further investigating the matter.
