As many as 8, 000 grey structures have been allotted through balloting in the Surizai Housing Scheme, while civil work on the housing project is expected to commence next month. The housing scheme, which is a part of the Naya Pakistan Housing project, is expected to be completed in the next three years. This was disclosed during a meeting of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Housing Department on Tuesday. K-P Chief Minister Mahmood Khan presided over the meeting. The meeting was briefed about the work on different housing societies of the department. Participants of the meeting were briefed that some 7,500 applications were received for the recently-launched Hangu Township scheme. Civil work on the scheme is expected to commence in January, early next year.
