Some 40 more coronavirus infections were reported in the federal capital on Tuesday taking the tally of total infections in Islamabad to 15,941 so far since the pandemic broke out. This is the fourth consecutive day when the new infections in a single day have stayed at 30 or above. The coronavirus in the federal capital has gone up sharply and reopening of schools may result in a surge in the cases nearly. Islamabad District Health Office (DHO) reported new cases among 22 men and 18 women living in different areas of the federal capital. The active cases in the federal capital stand at 348 after newly reported cases. Until now, some 178 people have succumbed to the coronavirus in Islamabad while 15,416 patients have recovered successfully.
