Police yet to arrest man for stabbing wife
A man, who had allegedly stabbed his wife and stolen valuables from her house has not been arrested three days after a complaint was filed.
Police maintain that the husband and wife have reconciled with each other. But the wife refuted these claims.
The victim, Sara, who lives in Sector F-6, filed a complaint with the Kohsar police on September 11 that her husband Amir stabbed her with a knife and stole 15 tolas of gold and Rs200,000 in cash from the house.
The police registered a case after receiving the medical report of the victim, but did not arrest the suspect.
On delays in arrest, the Kohsar police station SHO said that Amir had yet to be arrested as the victim, in her statement, had reconciled with her husband. The police officer added that the complainant had assured the police of submitting an affidavit on withdrawing the case in a few days. When The Express Tribune contacted Sara, she refuted the SHO’s claims.
