Man accused of killing his wife

A woman was allegedly killed by her husband over a minor domestic issue in Baghbanpura area on Tuesday. The victim was identified as Tahira. The victim had been married to the suspect Imran. Their relationship had soured and the couple would often quarrel with each other on minor issues. Police said the suspect was also a drug addict. On the day of the incident, the couple exchanged harsh words. The deranged suspect allegedly hit something on her head. It proved so fatal that the victim fell and died. A police team shifted the body to a morgue for autopsy. They also collected forensic evidence from the crime scene and recorded statements of the eyewitnesses.
