Couple killed, four children injured in attack
A couple was killed and their four children sustained bullet injuries in an attack on their house at Bhatta Goriyanwala chowk in the wee hours of Monday.
Police said unknown armed assailants barged into the rented house of Abdul Hameed. The assailants opened indiscriminate fire at the family residing in the house.
As a result, Abdul Hameed and his wife Naila Bibi died on the spot, while their children Waleed, Zahran, Maryum and Tahira suffered bullet injuries.
Police and Rescue 1122 teams reached the spot and shifted the injured and bodies to a hospital. Saddar police registered a case and started investigations. District Police Officer (DPO) Zahid Nawaz Marwat constituted a team to trace and arrest the attackers as early as possible.
