A protest was staged against the reinstatement of the local government system outside the press club by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Hyderabad chapter. The protesters chanted slogans in favor of the commissionerate system and demanded that the president and the chief minister should restore it. “The Sindhi-dominated areas in Hyderabad had been neglected during the local government system,” they said.
