A motorbike rider was killed while four others were critically injured in three separate road accidents in various parts of district Attock on Sunday.

In the first incident, a speedy dumper recklessly driven by an unidentified driver rammed into a motorbike travelling in the opposite direction on Grand Trunk (GT) Road near Lawrencepur.

As a result of the collision, the Hazro police said that a man, identified as Zeeshan Abid, died on the spot, while his companion, identified as Ahsan Aziz, was critically injured.

Meanwhile, the dumper driver managed to flee.

In the second incident, a motorbike rider was knocked off his ride by a crane near the Qutbal toll plaza on the Rawalpindi-Fatehjang road within the remits of the Fatehjang police station.

The victim was identified as Shafiq Ali who was shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) hospital from where he was shifted to Rawalpindi to receive better care for his critical condition.

Separately, two labourers were injured when the wall of an under-construction house in the Dhoke Syyedan area, on which they were working, collapsed.

Police and rescue workers said that Rehmat Khan and Mohammad Khan were building the wall when it caved in. DNA
