Experts advise immediate carrot cultivation

Agricultural experts have advised growers to start carrot cultivation immediately to get a bumper yield.

A spokesman of the Agriculture (Extension) Department said on Sunday that carrot is widely consumed in Pakistan because it is a rich source of vitamins and minerals. The farmers should cultivate approved varieties of carrot because its production not only plays a pivotal role in meeting food requirements of the people but is also helpful in meeting their economic needs, he added.
