204 more test positive for Covid-19 in Sindh

Two more coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Sindh overnight, while 204 fresh Covid-19 cases emerged in the province, said Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in a statement issued on Sunday.

The CM said that following these developments, the province’s cumulative Covid-19 death toll climbed to 2,445 and the total number of cases reported in Sindh so far added up to 132,084.

Presenting a breakdown of the newly reported cases, he said 120 of them belonged to Karachi. Besides, he added,18 cases belonged to Jamshoro, seven to Thatta, six to Badin, five to Hyderabad, four to Ghotki, three each to Jacobabad and Qambar-Shahdadkot and two each to Larkana, Sukkur, Khairpur, Shikarpur, Matiari and Sanghar.

He said 31 more recoveries were reported on the day.

This leaves 2,190 patients under treatment, with 1,907 in home isolation, six in isolation centres and 277 in hospitals, the CM stated.
