KARACHI:

Though the metropolis has faced constant criminal neglect from the federal, provincial and local government, Karachi is not an orphan city, insisted Pak Sarzameen Party chairperson Kamal.

“If the metropolis is not given its due share, we will take to streets with the people,” he said, addressing people while visiting Korangi in a rally.

Stating that giving a relief package to Karachi was like snatching a worker’s monthly salary and giving him a single meal, Kamal said the city did not need help when it had the potential to feed all of Pakistan.

“Karachiites are not demanding mere packages, we want financial and administrative autonomy,” he asserted.

“But when the Prime Minister visited Karachi, he just read out from a piece of paper and went back. If he is sincere, he should conduct a fresh census,” he added.
