Three minors assaulted in separate incidents

Three men severely injured a woman who resisted their attempt to rape her four-year-old daughter. Tandlianwala police shifted the woman to a hospital and registered a case.

Three other cases of sexual assaults on children were also reported in different areas of the city.

In Mumtazabad neighbourhood on the suburbs of the city, a minor girl was reportedly taken by the accused Salman and his two accomplices to fields near her home, where they tried to rape her. After hearing her screams, her mother Shumaila Bibi reached the spot. The accused attacked her when she confronted them, leaving her severely injured. The suspects also managed to flee from the crime scene. The victim was shifted to a hospital.

Tandlianwala police registered a case against the accused under sections 376, 511, 354, 337 and 34 of Pakistan Penal Code.

Meanwhile, a 12-year-old boy working at a tea shop on Satiana Road was reportedly assaulted when he was sent to a petrol filling station. He was asked by the fuel station employees to bring them tea. When he took the tea for them, he was asked to put it in a back room, where the two employees sexually assaulted him. Area police reached the spot and arrested the two accused.

In new Civil Lines, Mustansir Jamil's nine-year-old son was allegedly raped by a shopkeeper, identified as Ahsan, when he went to his grocery shop to buy something. In village 33GB, Satiana, Muhammad Javed reported to the police that his 10-year-old nephew was raped by Azmat alias Jaja.

Incidents of child sexual abuse are increasing in Faisalabad. According to figures obtained by The Express Tribune, more than 300 cases of rape and 72 of attempted rape have been reported in the district during the past nine months.

On August 15, three victims including two minors and a teenage girl were raped by men in separate incidents in the city.

On June 7, the body of a seven-year-old boy was found by local residents and police claimed that the victim was abducted two days earlier from D-Type Colony and sexually assaulted. The body was reportedly thrown into a canal in Dijkot area.

On May 23, a teenage girl was gang-raped by five men after being abducted in Landianwala area. As per details, on the night of the incident, an unknown armed man entered the victim’s house by climbing the wall, woke up the family at gunpoint and began searching their rooms.

He looted Rs50,000 cash and gold jewelry from a trunk and also abducted an 18-year-old girl on a motorcycle for sexually assaulting her.
