LAHORE:

Reiterating the demand for the restoration of student unions in the country, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Senator Sirajul Haq has said the educational institutions could play a vital role in grooming the future leadership if the authorities remove bars on student organisation activities at educational institutes.

Addressing the central executive council of the Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba at Mansoora on Saturday, he said youth must stay firm against the injustices happening in every nook and corner of the country and play their role in transforming Pakistan into a modern welfare Islamic state.

He said the PTI government had not taken a single step to introduce reforms in the sector in the past two years.

He lamented the lack of educational facilities to the poor, class-based education system and insufficient budgetary allocations for the sector were the major hurdles to bring betterment in the sector.
