ASI commits suicide at police station

An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of police shot himself dead inside a police station in the provincial capital. The victim was identified as Majeed Gujjar, 54, a resident of Badoki Village near Central Park Kahna. The victim was the father of five children including three daughters.
On the day of the incident, he came to work as part of routine in the morning. After sometime, he shot himself dead. The victim was reportedly frustrated due to his domestic affairs.
Reportedly, his one son was killed in a road crash and another was differently-abled.
Police shifted his body to a morgue for autopsy. They also collected forensic evidences from the scene and recorded statements of eyewitnesses.
This is not the only incident where a Punjab Police personnel committed suicide.
On January 13 this year, SSP Ibrar Hussain Naikokara reportedly shot himself dead over a domestic dispute in Rawalpindi.
