LAHORE:

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Rana Sanaullah claimed the recent appointment of the Lahore CCPO was made merely to get political benefits in the upcoming local bodies elections.

He was talking to media persons after attending a court proceeding in an alleged drug smuggling case registered against him by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF).

Sanaullah said it was astonishing that the IGP was removed rather than taking disciplinary action against the CCPO over his statements against the provincial police chief.

Shedding light on Motorway’s incident that had shaken the whole nation, Sana said it seems the accused ware being given benefit of doubt before starting a probe against them.

“The government and the police have completely failed in ensuring law and order in the province as well as providing them a secured life,” he remarked.

Lambasting the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led (PTI) government Sanaullah said sugar and flour mafias were busy in minting money while the government focused on the opposition and effort to trap it in forged cases. He claimed that all officers including NAB chairman have been made ‘hostage’ by the government.

“A clear change could be seen in Imran Khan’s statements he had made standing on the container and after becoming the prime minister.
