Ex-AAG family robbed
The wife and son of the Punjab former additional advocate general (AAG) Razaaq Mirza became victim of a robbery but they could not get case registered as the police of twin cities fight over jurisdiction.
The police teams of Islamabad and Rawalpindi police had reached the site but there was a dispute over the jurisdictions and thus, the first information report (FIR) of the incident could not be registered.

The Islamabad and Rawalpindi Police reached the site but remained undecided for long over whose jurisdiction it was.

Mirza, when contacted told The Express Tribune that he immediately contacted Potohar SP after the robbery. Cantt SP was sent to the incident site who later informed that the related area does not fall in their jurisdiction but of Islamabad police. Later, the Islamabad police officials reached there too but they maintained the same about the precincts. Further, the Rawalpindi police spokesperson maintained that the area where the incident occurred was located in Islamabad.
Moreover, The Express Tribune attempted to contact the federal police spokesperson and SP Sector I-9 but they could not be reached.
However, Circle SDO Ghulam Baqar told on contact that the jurisdictions have been determined and confirmed that the case resided with the Islamabad police.
