The entertainment industry will be offered incentives to come out of the losses suffered during the coronavirus pandemic, said Pakistan Film Censor Board Vice Chairman Javed Shehzad Malik.
He was speaking at the reopening of Ciros Theatre, oldest cinema hall of the city now refurbished to host stage plays. Malik said the government would extend all possible cooperation to Pakistani filmmakers under the National Film Policy.
He assured of fast tracking the censor certificates for new films this year.
MNA Aamer Mehmood Kiani said: “Our films will soon found a place in the international market. We will promote entertainment industry to show the soft image of the country to the world.”
Prominent film producer Shehzad Iftikhar said that along with the films, the stage will also be kept alive through government support.
