A shopkeeper was shot dead during a robbery bid in Samanabad area on Thursday. The victim was identified as Ashiq Hussain. He was at his shop when an unidentified man tried to rob him at gunpoint. When the victim resisted the attempt, the robber shot him dead. A Lytton Road police constable present near the scene of the crime witnessed the act and arrested the killer.
