788 suspected dengue cases reported
The Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) on Thursday stated that 788 suspected cases of dengue virus were reported during the last 24 hours in the province, who have been kept under surveillance and their tests are being carried out. Since the beginning of the year, 45 cases of the virus were confirmed in Punjab, out of which 42 patients have recovered and three are under treatment in hospitals. No death due to dengue was registered during the period. A P&SHD spokesperson said the government was working tirelessly to eliminate the threat of dengue. He urged the people to adopt precautionary measures and keep their environment clean and dry to protect themselves from the virus.
