FBR seizes 19 benami cars
FBR also makes details of cars public
KARACHI:
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has temporarily seized at least 19 benami cars, it was reported on Tuesday.
According to the sources affiliated with the FBR, the seized cars, including two Mercedes, two BMWs, one Cadillacs, two Prados, five Corollas and others, are collectively worth over Rs105 million.
The sources said FBR officials had made the details of the cars public so that their owners contact FBR’s Benami Zone office within a week and submit required explanations. They added that the cars would be permanently seized by the government in case the owners did not contact the office.
