CDA repairs, patches Expressway

The civic agency of the federal capital on Tuesday started repairing and patching up the Islamabad Expressway and other major thoroughfares of the city.

The work was undertaken by the Machine Pool Organisation (MPO) Directorate of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) following directions from the authority. The CDA administration issued directions to repair, maintain and patch the thoroughfares which had been damaged during the recent monsoon rains.

On Tuesday, the MPO carried out road maintenance and patchwork in the Faizabad Interchange area, Kashmir Highway, IJ Principal Road from Golra Morr to Saidpur Road, Nazimuddin Road in Sector F-8, 9th Avenue Junction with IJ Principal Road, Ibn-e-Sina Road in Sector G-11, Service Road North in Sector I-10, Constitution Avenue and other areas.

Other departments of the authority were also directed to ensure that the MPO directorate does not face any problems while repairing roads. The finance wing has particularly been directed to ensure that the directorate has sufficient funds to carry out its work.
