Harry Styles opens up about ex Taylor Swift's songs about him
It's no secret that popular singers Taylor Swift and Harry Styles had a whirlwind romance back in 2012. The two, however, split shortly after, and as per popular speculation, both of them went on to pen down multiple songs dedicated to each other.
Years after the two shared chemistry, Styles went on to share his thoughts about the said songs in an interview with Howard Stern last year, and the video has now resurfaced once again, shared Mirror!
In the interview, the Watermelon Sugar hitmaker addressed the Cardigan singer, saying, "I think about what it means to me to write a song about somebody else and for somebody else to do that, it’s like flattering, even if the song isn’t that flattering, you still spent time on it and ultimately, using Taylor as an example, she’s a great songwriter, so at least they’re good songs.”
Fans have speculated for years that Swift's 2016 hits Style and Out of the Woods were both about her relationship with Styles.
He then went on to share that he might have been upset if his ex were to badmouth him in a song. "The only time you really think, ’is this song too personal?’ is if you think about, ‘is this going to be really annoying for the other person?’ Because I do care,” he said.
The Sign of the Times singer is currently single, while Swift has been steadily dating British actor Joe Alwyn since 2016.
