Low attendance of staff for school cleaning drive
All government schools in the Rawalpindi division opened for the first time on Monday for cleaning up and preparing for the resumption of academic activities.
However, in many schools, the attendance of the staff remained low.
The government had ordered all primary, middle, high, and higher secondary schools to carry out cleanliness drives to mitigate the danger of dengue and coronavirus. Therefore, the teaching and non-teaching employees of educational institutions were directed to come to school from September 7.
However, the orders were thrown up in the air by the teaching as well as non-teaching staff as they preferred to stay homes on reopening day.
The District Education Authority (DEA) Chief Executive Officer (DEO) has taken strict notice of this and warned the absentees that they would be issued show-cause notices if they continued to remain absent from Tuesday (today).
