Govt has approved 76 new rescue stations across Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday inaugurated one of five newly built rescue stations in Lahore.

The five new rescue stations were built in Harbanspura, Walled City, Shadbagh, Maraka and Kot Abdul Malik areas. Law Minister Raja Basharat, Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Momin Agha, Punjab Emergency Service (PES) Director General (DG) Dr Rizwan Naseer, Commissioner Lahore Zulfiqar Ghuman and Deputy Commissioner Danish Afzal, regional and district emergency officers Rescue 1122 Lahore, senior officers from rescue headquarters and academy, and a large number of rescuers and residents of Harbanspura attended the ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that the government has approved 76 new rescue stations across Punjab after which the emergency services would be available in all the tehsils.
