AVLC arrests 3 ‘wanted suspects’
The Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell police arrested three alleged motorcycle lifters during separate operations in North Nazimabad, Bin Qasim Town and Landhi on Sunday night. They claimed to have found three stolen motorcycles and two 30 bore pistols in the suspects’ possession. The apprehended persons were identified as Fazal, Yousuf and Faizan, whom the AVLC said were wanted suspects. According to the AVLC, Fazal had been involved in motorcycle lifting since 2012, Yousuf had been arrested seven times before, and Faizan allegedly used a weapon snatched from a security guard for criminal activities. The AVLC further said the motorcycles seized from the suspects were stolen from the jurisdictions of Sukhan, Landhi and Sharifabad Police Stations. The apprehended suspects were booked by the AVLC, which claimed that the suspects also confessed to selling stolen motorcycles. Investigations were launched against the three.
