Hub River Bridge is intact: NHA
The National Highway Authority (NHA) has said that there is no threat to the Hub River Bridge and it is fully intact and strong on its actual position and shape. Member of National Highway Authority southern Balochistan Shahid Ehsanullah after examining the bridge over Hub River on Sunday along with experts and engineers said, “ There is no threat to the bridge over Hub River and it is intact and strong.”
He added that the Hub River Bridge had been constructed in 1962, before the establishment of National Highway Authority. “NHA officials continuously visit the Hub River Bridge after every six months. Supporting pillars on which Hub River Bridge is constructed is solid and resilient and there is option of falling down.” Commenting on the role of NHA, Ehsanullah said that pillars on which the structure of Hub River Bridge is built are actually bulge and in a curvy shape. Repairing work on the bridge was conducted by the National Highway Authority in the between 2014 and 2018.
