Police training starts Sept 19

Police training schools and colleges across Punjab, including the one in Sihala, are expected to resume training courses from September 19, a schedule of courses issued on Wednesday said.
Courses at these training institutions were stopped due to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
Training Additional IG Rana Tahir Rehman on Wednesday issued the notification which declared the negative Covid-19 tests as mandatory for all trainers and students attending courses. Moreover, all precautionary guidelines against the virus will be strictly followed at the training academies.
The commanders of Police Training Colleges (PTCs), including those in Sihala, Lahore, and Multan and principals of Police training Schools (PTS) in Farooqabad and Sargodha, have been informed through the circular that the competent authority has allowed the resumption of all courses which had been halted due to Covid-19.
Training will resume with a 39-week-long first ladies recruit class course at PTC Sihala on September 19. Some 335 trainees are expected to participate in this course.

The Lahore PTC has been directed to resume its 12th ladies recruit course, which had been paused after only three weeks of its 38-week duration, from October 6. In the same college, the Anti-Riot Force would resume its Anti-Riot Training (TOT) from September 21 to complete its one-week remaining period.
Multan PTC would restart its Lohar School Course will resume from September 21. Some 384 police personnel receiving training under the course would now complete the remaining duration of two weeks.
Further, the PTS Farooqabad and PTS Sargodha have also been directed to resume courses from September 21. Some 622 and 355 trainers were recruited in the training in both schools respectively and 14 weeks were left in completion when they were shut down.
