Toxic food sends six to hospital

Police reached the spot and conducted investigation

FAISALABAD:

At least six people suffered from food poisoning after eating from a restaurant in Faisalabad on Saturday.

They were admitted to a hospital where they were provided medical assistance.

The details revealed that 28-year-old Kashif Ali, 18-year-old Shahbaz, 25-year-old Asad, 20-year-old Rizwan, 25-year-old Ejaz, and 23-year-old Bilal ate food at a well-known hotel located at Allied Moor area of Civil Lines due to which their health deteriorated.

They were shifted to Allied Hospital Faisalabad in a state of unconsciousness where they were provided medical treatment.

Police reached the spot and conducted investigation.

Separately, 10 employees of another restaurant fainted while working in the kitchen due to a lack of ventilation.

The victims were shifted to the hospital after being provided medical aid by Rescue 1122 personnel.

Police officials revealed that 10 employees including 23-year-old Talha Akbar, resident of Satiana Road, 32-year-old Zahid and others were working in the restaurant located near Sheikhupura Road Bridge Nishatabad, when they lost consciousness due to suffocation, as there was no exhaust fans fixed there for ventilation.

Rescue 1122 personnel shifted them to the hospital after providing medical treatment.

A Sargodha Road police team reached the spot and started investigation into the matter.
