PMDC cancels provisional accreditation of 10 colleges

Students admitted in these institutions for the upcoming session will be adjusted in other colleges

ISLAMABAD:

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), in a statement on Friday, said that it had cancelled the provisional accreditation granted to 10 medical and dental colleges. These colleges have also been barred from admitting any new students for the upcoming academic year.

The council said that these institutions had been granted provisional accreditation by the now-defunct Pakistan Medical Council (PMC) without any inspection.

These medical colleges, it said, will be inspected soon. Students admitted in these institutions for the upcoming session will be adjusted in other recognised medical and dental colleges.
