The Ferozabad investigation police raided an office at Tariq Road on Friday, arresting three suspects for involvement in fraudulent activities.

According to Ferozabad Station Investigation Officer Faizul Hassan, three traders at the electronics market in Saddar had filed cases against the suspects, accusing them of fraud by failing to pay for several mobile phones they had purchased online.

He added that the main accused, Sarmad Siddiqui, whose office was raided, could not be arrested in the operation.

Rizwan Irfan, the president of the electronics market, said the suspects had ordered mobile phones worth Rs1.5 million but did not pay for them after collection. Later, he added, they blackmailed and threatened the traders when they demanded payment for the mobile phones.

According to sources, Siddiqui had been arrested along with three accomplices in 2014, for alleged involvement in the terrorist attack on Jinnah International Airport. However, he and his accomplices had managed to acquire bail at the time.
