Swindler awarded 12 years jail term

An inquiry was launched against him in 2018 after reception of at least 41 complaints

LAHORE:

An accountability court on Friday awarded 12 years imprisonment and imposed fine worth Rs33 million on a man for fleeing the public. Lahore National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had filed a corruption reference against the accused identified as Faisal Kamran in 2019. The accused had allegedly looted money from the public through Excise Global Limited Company. An inquiry was launched against him in 2018 after reception of at least 41 complaints. During the course of investigations, NAB also recovered Rs16.6 million through plea bargain.
