21 injured in gas explosion

At least 12 persons were left injured reportedly in an incident of building collapse of a private bank due to gas explosion in Chauburji area of Lahore. As per details, business activities at the bank and nearby offices were underway on in a routine manner when suddenly a huge explosion occurred. As a result of the incident, the building collapsed and windowpanes broke down. The explosion was reportedly so impactful that the windowpanes hit the victims. Consequently, at least 21 people were injured in the accident. Nearby people called Rescue 1122 teams. The emergency service team rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. They evacuated the victims and shifted them to nearby hospitals. The injured shifted to Lahore Services Hospital included Muhammad Ghalib, 46, Muhammad Nawaz, 50, Asad Mumtaz, 28, Waqas Amanat, 24, Arshad Ahsan, 30, Iqrar Abbas, 45, Usman Ghulam Mohiuddin, 28 and Dilawar Yamin, 50. Four of the victims shifted in Lahore’s Mayo Hospital included Waheed Ali, 20, Muzammil, 22, Manzoor Muneer, 37 and Siddique, 80 and others. The condition of three victims was stated to be critical. The incident created panic in the locality.
