Blackmailers nabbed by FIA Cybercrime wing
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cybercrime team raided and arrested two suspects involved in blackmailing a lady constable and a teenager boy over objectionable photos.
Shoaib Haroon, Assistant Director, FIA Cybercrime Wing had received a complaint lodged by Police Constable Farah Bibi, daughter of Ghulam Rasool, resident of 71GB Sarli, that she was friends with the accused, Adnan Haider, a resident of Chak No 74 GB Thikriwala.
He blackmailed her with doctored photos and extorted Rs35,000 from her. Later, he went on to send the edited objectionable photos to her husband when he returned from abroad, to make sure that he divorces her.
The lady constable sought help from the FIA cybercrime wing to nab the accused.
FIA Cybercrime Wing Inspector Sajjad Iqbal and his team raided with the help of Thikriwala police and arrested Adnan and seized two mobile phones from his possession.
Meanwhile, a factory owner Mohammad Shafiq allegedly raped and took photos of 17-year-old boy and later blackmailed him by sending objectionable photos to his family.
The accused had raped the boy, a resident of Liaquatabad No 1, over the course of three years.
