K-P announces finance commission 2020-21

Commission to be led by K-P Finance Minister Tairmu Jhagra

PESHAWAR:

The provincial government on Wednesday announced the financial commission for the financial year 2020-21.

Allocations under the award are based on district population, poverty, revenue generation and lack of infrastructure. According to the commission, 60 per cent of the resources will be distributed based on population and revenue generation.

Another 20 per cent of resources will be distributed based on poverty, 30 per cent on the lack of infrastructure and 30 per cent of resources will be allocated for the district development programme.

The provincial finance commission will be led by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) finance minister while other ministers will serve as its members.
