Amir Khan, Faryal Makhdoom gear up for reality TV series

The duo will be starring in a 'BBC Three' docu-series titled 'Meet The Khans'

Boxer Amir Khan and wife Faryal Makhdoom are all set to star in a new BBC Three documentary titled Meet The Khans.

Makhdoom revealed the news to fans and followers on her Instagram saying, “Excited to announce our new reality TV series Meet The Khans — coming soon on @Bbc @bbcthree”.

Earlier, BBC Three Controller Fiona Campbell had revealed the series’ that would stream on the network at a session for Edinburgh TV Festival. Among the titles was Meet The Khans, the description of which revealed the show would dive into the world of the Olympic medallist and his influencer wife. It promises to access areas and “dynamics of the young couple in Khan’s beloved Bolton as they juggle a young family, their relationship and career pressures under the glare of modern media.

Khan and Makhdoom got married in May 2013 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York and had their third baby in February this year. In 2019, the I'm a Celebrity star ended his explosive three year feud between his family, following which the couple almost decided to dissolve their marriage. The boxer was embroiled in a bitter public spat with his parents in 2016 after his wife accused them of bullying her.

The parents claimed the US-born was controlling and trying to break the family apart after she posted what appeared to be a ‘naked selfie’ on Instagram, reported The Sun.

Makhdoom was branded a ‘bad mum’ to their daughter Lamaisah – causing Khan not to speak to his parents for six months. But the former light-welterweight champion revealed that the feud was in the past, according to The Mirror.

"I speak to them all the time – everything is cool between them. I'm in a sport where one punch can change your life, and I thought, 'Be nice to everyone',” the outlet quoted him as saying.
